We were chatting with a worker here named Carla (shown in the newspaper restaurant review photo below) and she told us that we had to try this restaurant for great margaritas and food. We had the opportunity to give it a try tonight (unfortunately Carla wasn’t working…).

It honestly doesn’t look all that special from the outside and appears small – so when we saw the packed parking lot, we wondered if there would be a wait. To our surprise though once we got inside, there was another back room and we were able to be seated immediately.

The first test for a Mexican restaurant is their complimentary chips and salsa – and Tequila passed this one with flying colors! We prefer thin chips and fresh salsa – and that is exactly what they served. My wife ordered a Coronita (see picture) and I opted for the Cadillac Margarita (see picture) based on our server’s recommendation.

Test #2 for me at a restaurant is whether the server is friendly, confident and ready with recommendations when asked – and again, she checked all of the boxes! She recommended the Chicken Fajitas (see picture) which my wife ordered and the Mexican City Tacos (street tacos – see picture) which I ordered. The food was all very good, with my only negative comment being the physical size of the Mexican City Tacos…as they were only about 3″ in diameter (so make sure you order several of them).
