Excellent pizza and Italian food that we enjoyed courtesy of our son’s recommendation while visiting his worksite in the Lakeland area.

You order from the counter while looking at the previously prepared menu items, then your selected items are warmed up and delivered to your table (see pictures). It is definitely an area favorite, as the place was buzzing when we stopped by for dinner. Tables were at a premium since it was quite chilly outside, so the outside dining area was not being utilized.

The Garlic Knots (see picture) are unbelievably good – soft, warm, buttery and with just a slight outer layer crunch. In almost the same category was the Bruschetta (see picture) – crunchy bread, fresh ingredients and tasty seasoning! All of the pizzas that we tried (see pictures) were fantastic – not sure that you can go wrong with any of them.

Most importantly, make sure you save some room for dessert (see cooler picture) and sample one or two before you leave. We had the Tiramisu and Chocolate Cheesecake – and both were oh, so delicious!

Excellent local stop that we enjoyed during a drive along the beach. My wife and I shared the Tampa Cuban (see picture), enjoyed it and found it to be more than enough for both of us as we weren’t that hungry. My parents ordered the Reuben Cuban (see picture) and Chicken Cuban (see picture) and enjoyed both of them…just found it to be more than they wanted to eat for a light lunch.

As the pictures show, this place isn’t all that fancy, but the Cuban sandwiches were served quickly and were very good. Best of all, there was a good selection of ice cream to enjoy with your meal. I sampled the Espresso with chocolate before the meal came and loved it! If you are looking for a quick stop to eat you will enjoy this place.

    1/12/2023 Crumbl Cookies

Given my sweet tooth, it is hard not to explore almost any place with “cookies” in it’s name.  This place was no different.  While we hadn’t eaten at a Crumbl Cookies before, I saw the sign on the way back from the aquarium and nearly had the car on 2 wheels as I turned sharply to get into the parking lot. 😉

There were 4 of us, so we ordered the 4 cookie combo box and each enjoyed our cookies that were fresh out of the oven and warm.  I especially enjoyed the German Chocolate Cake, with a delicious melted chocolate center in an already great cookie.

on our second stop during our next visit, we ordered Milk Chocolate Chip, Rocky Road, Peanut Butter Cup and Confetti Cake. While I almost didn’t order the Confetti Cake for fear it would be too sweet, most of us agreed that it was our favorite…the icing was light and delicious.

If you like cookies, you can’t go wrong here!

Our son picked this place for a late lunch on the way to the aquarium and boy, did we enjoy our meal!

The exterior was beautiful (see front and back entrance pictures) and the Corazón Buffalo Trace Barrel Aged Reposado tequila drinks sign immediately captured my attention.  The bar was will stocked, the atmosphere was festive and the decor was modern and well lit.

We first shared Pork Dumplings, then my wife ordered the Fort Harrison Steak and I opted for the Half Buffalo Chicken Salad.  All of the food was every bit as good as it looks in the pictures and then some…I highly recommend all of them.

Our son picked this place to meet for dinner when we were visiting and boy was ita great choice!  It was very lively, modern, open and chic as we walked up (see pictures) and it only got better from there.

We initially ordered the Scotch Eggs and all thought they were great.  We had a hard time deciding on the main course (so many great looking dishes to choose from), but I eventually settled on the UK Meatloaf.  I’m not a huge meatloaf fan, but this was fabulous – so light, crumbly and delicious that I was sad when it was gone.

If you do only one thing while here, do NOT leave without having The Yeoman Dessert.  That sticky toffee pudding just might be the best dessert I’ve had ever and the rest were also delicious.

Worth a stop for a fully shaded stroll on the boardwalk.  The water was low when we stopped, so we didn’t see as much wildlife as the locals saw a few weeks earlier, but still plenty to see and learn.  The pond at the end (see picture) did have an alligator out sunning when we got there.

Stopped here on the way to visit friends and enjoyed the casual and open atmosphere as well as the Ultimate Margarita and food.  I ordered the 1/2 Jerk Chicken Sandwich and my wife ordered the Blackened Fish Tacos with Seafood Chowder.

I enjoyed the Jerk sandwich, but found it a little dry – as it apparently used a dry rub for seasoning and I expected the more traditional red sauce.  My wife’s Ultimate Margarita was fantastic (I tried a few sips), as were the Blackened Fish Tacos and Seafood Chowder.  The chowder was light and flavorful without coming across as salty.  The waiter recommended both (for good reason) and so would I.

Stopped here for brunch before the beach and loved the atmosphere and food.  On the way in, we saw a friendly artist touching up the store sign (see picture) – who was more than happy to be a part of my review.

We started with drinks and chips, guacamole and salsa (see picture).  The guacamole was great, but the chips seemed a little over cooked.  For lunch, I had the Shrimp Ceviche and my wife had the Blackened Shrimp Quesadillas (see pictures).  We really enjoyed both dishes – the ceviche was served with what seemed like a balsamic vinaigrette that tasted great as an add on, even though I hadn’t ever had it before.

With the good selection of tap beers, tasty food and reasonable prices, I recommend it for a stop to eat.

Stopped here with our adult children while on vacation and staying nearby.  Although we admittedly aren’t big Ford fans, the restaurant was very unique and the food was delicious.

From the unique urinals, sink and door handles in the men’s roomto the hose clamps around your napkins / silverware to the oil funnel holding the onion rings (see pictures), everything about this place was very unique and fitting for a garage setting.

The food took plenty long to be delivered and we had a quality issue with one of the burgers, but they were good about replacing it and the replacement was great.

You will definitely enjoy the atmosphere here (and Tyler provided great service)!

Everything about this place oozes premium / quality.  We were already full when we got here, so I just ordered a salted caramel eclaire.  There packaging and presentation were amazing and the taste was great!  Of you like your sweets…you’ll want to make sure you stop here before you leave the area.

Atmosphere was average and per several other Yelper’s reviews, the food was also average.  I enjoyed the Japanese vegetable wrap as well as the homemade key lime pie.  The Chicken Parmesan that my son ordered was average and the marinara sauce was skimpy – leaving it quite dry (although our waitress was happy to bring us another cup, which caused our son to finish his meal after first saying he was done).  Prices were reasonable for our family of 6 with 4 teenage boys.

Seared ahi tuna tacos are Wonderful!  My wife had them and loved them – and I sampled and also enjoyed.  We caught the end of Happy Hour and stayed for dinner.  The made-daily fresh pico de gallo was good, but the oregano seasoning took some getting used to…

Ordered the Island Combo Basket (grilled) over rice with black beans and brought it back to the hotel room.  The aroma in the car was great and the food was even better.  The only thing that prevents a 5* rating in my book is the paper plates and plastic utensils.

Great cozy atmosphere in an ‘out of the way’ restaurant with better than average pub food, a nice domestic draught Happy Hour and great service by a friendly waitress – Lacey.  We ordered the Coconut Onion Rings (recommended by another Yelper) and enjoyed them.  We liked the crab and cream cheese – stuffed Jalapeno Poppers even better (nice spicy bite, softened by the sweet dip).  For dinner, we had the catch of the day (hog fish – blackened) along with a sampler that included shrimp and mahi mahi – all of the fish was excellent.  To top it off, we ordered a slice of key lime pie as well as a slice of peanut butter pie – Wow, were they great – and with a great presentation!

Overall, a great stop on our way to Key West for family vacation!

We loved the Garlic Cheese Bread Knots before our meal.  Service was excellent (our hard-to-please 17 year old son said it was the best service he has ever had).  Portions were large (our 4 teenage boys had left-overs to eat later for dinner in the hotel) and pricing was average.  I had the lunch special Tilapia with a Lemon Butter Wine sauce – and that was the best sauce I’ve ever had on fish (nice lemon tang to it, but also with a rich butter taste).  Was a great stop for our family while on family vacation in Florida.
